Justice & Equity
Incorporating justice and equity into my work as a Psychotherapist, Educator, and Consultant is imperative for me and the liberation of all people. The pain thrust upon communities who are marginalized due to the systemic upholding of white supremacy, colonialism, imperialism, and capitalism is too often ignored, pathologized, misunderstood, or simply used against us.
As a Queer Native Tejana, I have experienced the power of acknowledging and dismantling internalized and systemic forms of oppression, while also creating space for intergenerational healing in order to reclaim our collective power.
I do this work to heal my ancestors’ wounds.
I do this work to create a more equitable, diverse, inclusive, and just world for future generations.
